Jesus’ Own Teachings
A mystic named Luisa Piccarreta 1865-1947 wrote many pages that were given to her by Jesus himself in a period of 40 years. These writings are completely approved by the Catholic Church. Luisa’s Spiritual Director was canonized in 2005 and his statue stands outside the Vatican. In Luisa’s writings, Jesus explains His teachings about the Virtues and the Sacraments in His own words, and He tells us how to reach Heaven by reading Luisa’s writings, and by giving us a new method of prayer which will draw us closer to God. To study and learn these readings, a group will meet on the first and third Tuesday of every month in the Ministry center from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. The first meeting will be on March 4th.
If you are interested in learning more about “Living in the Will of God”, please email the parish office at [email protected].

The Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Center City conducts an evangelization ministry through its Cathedral Ambassadors. This enthusiastic group of trained Ambassadors staffs the Basilica throughout the week to greet visitors, answer questions and offer assistance. Our visitors come from all over the world and may be Catholic or non-Catholic. Cathedral Ambassadors provide an important personal presence in the Basilica and they give witness to the love and beauty of Christ and His Church. More details: Cathedral Ambassadors are assigned 4-hour shifts. The schedule is flexible with assignments of one day or more a month. Training and materials are provided to support this evangelization ministry. For more information and to become a Cathedral Ambassador, please contact Martha Ortiz at [email protected]. On April 1, 1962 the Blessed Virgin Mary told Elizabeth Kindlemann: "I have never before given into your hands such a powerful force of grace, the burning flame of love of my heart. I have not undertaken the Flame of Love of my heart who rushes to you. Until now, nothing could blind Satan as much. It is up to you not to reject it, for this rejection would simply spell disaster." Feast of the Flame of Love: On the same day, Mary also said: I ask the Holy Father to make the feast of the Flame of Love on February 2nd, the feast of Candlemas. I do not want a special feast."
